Silent Hill 2 Remake Receives a Grim Story Trailer
In just a matter of weeks, fans of survival horror will have the opportunity to immerse themselves once again in the eerie atmosphere of the beloved horror property known as Silent Hill.
This new story trailer for the Silent Hill 2 remake showcases a poignant exchange between the main character, James Sunderland, and Maria, a woman whose appearance echoes that of his deceased wife, Mary. Their conversation hints at deep-seated memories, including a discussion about a videotape recorded during their stay at a hotel. The trailer concludes with Maria’s haunting declaration, “It doesn’t matter who I am. I am here for you, James. See, I’m real.” Viewers are also treated to glimpses of other pivotal characters, such as Angela Orosco, Eddie Dombrowski, and Laura.
The remake of Silent Hill 2 is being developed by Bloober Team, known for their contributions to the horror genre with titles like Layers of Fear and The Medium. This collaboration with Konami Digital Entertainment was first announced in October 2022 and utilizes the impressive Unreal Engine 5 technology to bring this bold new reinvention to life.
As of now, Silent Hill 2 is available for preorder in two editions. The Standard Edition includes the base game along with a special Mira the Dog mask. The Deluxe Edition enhances the experience with additional content, including a unique Pyramid Head pizza box mask, a digital soundtrack, a digital artbook, and 48-hour early access. Additionally, PS5 players will benefit from an exclusive preorder bonus, featuring the Robbie the Rabbit mask.
