My Adventures with Superman Reveals Superboy for Season 3 at SDCC

We’ve been thoroughly enjoying the phenomenal second season of DC’s animated series My Adventures with Superman — and while we’re already pumped about the news that a third season is coming; it’s also been confirmed that another iconic Super will enter the DC animated arena very soon. Get ready to meet Superboy!

My Adventures with Superman | DC, Adult Swim, MAX

During this year's San Diego Comic-Con, the My Adventures with Superman cast, and creative team gave eager fans a sneak peek into what they can expect in the upcoming season, with one particular buzz-worthy revelation including confirmation that Superboy will be making his debut in season three. In addition to the news, the team then previewed first-look concept art that partially reflects his recent comic book return through the character’s ‘90s, retro-twinged punk style. Which is very much giving us Gemworld, Young Justice aesthetics.

In the massively successful second season, viewers were introduced to Supergirl (who is poised to take on a main role in season three), which already felt like a fresh way to witness their interaction with a smaller age gap. That being said, how Clark will handle (or relate to) a younger version of Superboy is something that we’ve also never witnessed before — so it sounds like My Adventures with Superman is prepared to keep generating fresh, original interpretations of classic stories when it returns for its third season.

The first two seasons of My Adventures with Superman can be streamed exclusively on MAX.
