Kill Bill's Yuki Gets Her Shot at Revenge in Fortnite
Fortnite is adding a new assassin to its ever-growing roster. Epic Games has confirmed that Yuki Yubari, the vengeful sister of Gogo from Kill Bill, is joining the island alongside the premiere of Quentin Tarantino’s animated short “The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge,” which just received its first in-game trailer.
The collaboration is built around a full animated sequence that plays inside Fortnite rather than in theaters or on a traditional streamer. The 10-minute short, created in Unreal Engine with motion capture and animation, brings back Uma Thurman as Beatrix “The Bride” Kiddo for a new showdown with Yuki, who’s hunting her down in the suburbs of Los Angeles to avenge Gogo’s death. The new trailer also teases how tightly the short and the game are intertwined. Fortnite mascots like Peely and Skull Trooper appear alongside Tarantino’s characters, and the Bride’s iconic “Pussy Wagon” has been cheekily censored to fit Fortnite’s teen-rated tone.
Yuki Yubari is being added as an Epic Outfit, available for free simply by logging in during a limited window tied to the Chapter 6 finale and Chapter 7 launch. Anyone who jumps into Fortnite at least once between Nov. 27 at 9 a.m. ET and Dec. 1 at 9 a.m. ET (just a little time left) will automatically receive the Yuki Yubari skin after the new chapter goes live. The cosmetic is part of the O-Ren’s Assassins set, billed with the tagline “Get revenge for Gogo,” and sits alongside a separate Bride outfit featured in the Chapter 7 battle pass.
In the end, it works both ways. Kill Bill gets its lost chapter, and Fortnite gets a new assassin to build a whole event around. Watch the teaser for ‘The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge’ below.
