The highly anticipated follow-up to the record-breaking first season, which became Netflix’s most-viewed English-language series with 252 million views, will premiere in two parts: Part 1 on August 6, 2025, and Part 2 on September 3, 2025, each containing four episodes.

The trailer, set to a haunting cover of “My Favorite Things” from The Sound of Music, opens with Wednesday navigating airport security, unloading an arsenal of weapons like brass knuckles and a machete, only to be stopped for sunscreen packed by Thing (Victor Dorobantu). It also teases her return to Nevermore Academy, where she’ll face new supernatural mysteries and family dynamics. Wednesday quips, “It’s like returning to the scene of a crime—I already know where the bodies are buried,” hinting at her signature dark humor.

Returning cast members include Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair, Wednesday’s bubbly werewolf roommate, Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay, Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin, and Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester. Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia), Luis Guzmán (Gomez), and Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley) are now series regulars, with Pugsley joining Nevermore as a student exploring his supernatural abilities. New faces include Steve Buscemi as the academy’s principal, Barry Dort, and Joanna Lumley as Hester Frump, Morticia’s mother. Guest stars like Lady Gaga, Thandiwe Newton, and Christopher Lloyd join in undisclosed roles.

Directed by Tim Burton, who also executive produces alongside showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, Season 2 promises a deeper dive into Addams Family lore. And as of now, the teaser hints at eerie settings, creepy dolls, and a new mystery, with Wednesday navigating friendships, rivalries, and her psychic visions along the way.
