The horror/thriller landscape is about to earn a new addition with the new series Teacup, set to debut on Peacock this October. And considering that it’s produced by James Wan’s company Atomic Monster, the mind behind legendary franchises such as The Conjuring and Insidious, the upcoming series is prepared to deliver a chilling experience for fans of the genre.
Based on the novel Stinger, the series adaptation now titled Teacup features a compelling ensemble cast that includes Yvonne Strahovski, well-known for her roles in The Handmaid's Tale; Scott Speedman, recognized from Grey’s Anatomy; and Chaske Spencer, who captivated audiences in The English. The series itself revolves around a disparate group of individuals living in a rural Georgia community who find themselves facing an inexplicable threat —united by their struggle for survival, the characters must navigate the horrors lurking in their surroundings.
With an intriguing premise and a talented cast at the helm, Teacup is bound to captivate horror enthusiasts as it prepares to delve into the sinister secrets that bind these characters together. Expect a blend of suspense, psychological thrills, and the signature horror aesthetic that Wan is known for, making it a notably offering for the upcoming spooky season.
Teacup is set to launch with a double episode premiere on Thursday, October 10, followed by new episodes released weekly leading up to Halloween.
