MobLand Trailer Brings a New Crime Drama to Paramount+

Paramount+ recently dropped the official trailer for MobLand, a new crime drama series from director and executive producer Guy Ritchie, set to premiere on March 30, 2025, in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Australia, with a global rollout planned later in the year.

The 1-minute-34-second teaser, released via Paramount+’s YouTube channel and social media, introduces viewers to a gritty tale of warring London crime families, spotlighting a powerhouse cast led by Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren. The trailer opens with Brosnan’s voiceover as Conrad Harrigan, patriarch of the Harrigan crime family, growling, “Name’s Conrad Harrigan. Family man. And if you cross my family—well, you’d better pray,” as a house explodes in a fiery blast set to the Rolling Stones’ “Sympathy for the Devil.”

The footage then showcases rapid cuts of violence and tension: Hardy’s Harry Da Souza, the family’s street-smart fixer, navigates the chaos, while Mirren’s Maeve Harrigan, described by Brosnan’s narration as “the brains behind the charm,” exudes quiet menace. Paramount+’s logline frames the plot: “Power is up for grabs as the Harrigans and Stevensons, two warring London crime families, clash in a kill-or-be-killed battle that threatens to topple empires and ruin lives,” with Hardy’s Da Souza caught in the crossfire, a figure “as dangerous as he is handsome.”

The trailer also teases a robust ensemble, including Paddy Considine as Kevin Harrigan, Joanne Froggatt as Jan Da Souza, and a slew of talent like Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Geoff Bell, Daniel Betts, Lisa Dwan, and Emily Barber, though their roles flash by briefly. Originally developed as a Ray Donovan spinoff titled The Donovans—evolved into a standalone story created by Ronan Bennett (Top Boy), who wrote all 10 episodes. Ritchie directs the first two, joined by Anthony Byrne, Lawrence Gough, and Daniel Syrkin.

Executive produced by Ritchie, Hardy, Bennett, Jez Butterworth, and a team including Keith Cox and David C. Glasser, MobLand hits Paramount+ with weekly Sunday drops starting March 30.
