Every Star Confirmed for American Horror Story Season 13 So Far

American Horror Story is officially gearing up for its 13th season, and FX has confirmed a stellar ensemble that combines core veterans with high-profile newcomers. Season 13 was originally part of a multi-season renewal ordered back in 2020, and the new cast lineup was unveiled on Halloween via a Ryan Murphy Productions Instagram reel that listed names in the show’s signature font, scored to Vera Lynn’s “I’ll Be Seeing You” and capped with the familiar “Surprise, bitch” tease associated with the iconic Madison Montgomery.

At the center of the announcement is the return of multiple American Horror Story mainstays. To our surprise, it confirmed the return of Jessica Lange (yes, you read that correctly), alongside names like Sarah Paulson, Emma Roberts, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, and Leslie Grossman, who are all confirmed to appear as well. The move effectively reunites a large portion of the ensemble that helped define the series across Murder House, Asylum, Coven, Freak Show, Hotel, Apocalypse, and later seasons, after some sat out the more recent Delicate.

Lange’s inclusion is easily one of the biggest talking points: she was central to the show’s early identity with roles like Constance Langdon, Sister Jude, Fiona Goode, and Elsa Mars, but had not been a regular presence since Freak Show and only made a brief return in Apocalypse. She had also publicly indicated that her time with the series was over, which makes the “Surprise, bitch” callback in the teaser a pointed nod to fans who assumed her run had ended.

Season 13 will also introduce Ariana Grande to the AHS universe. The pop star, who previously worked with Ryan Murphy (along with Roberts and Lourd) on Fox’s Scream Queens, joins the anthology after a decade away from scripted television and fresh off her turn as Glinda in the Wicked films.

For now, FX and Murphy are keeping plot specifics and character details under wraps—though we’re obviously still hoping for more Coven content. No logline or subtitle has been released either, and there is no public production start date beyond confirmation that the season will arrive in 2026 after the franchise’s three-year break following Delicate.

What is clear from the official materials is that Season 13 is being framed as a major “event” chapter built around legacy cast and a headline-grabbing new star, with the creative team leaning into nostalgia while holding back any concrete story reveals.

The season is slated to premiere on Halloween 2026 on FX, with streaming via Hulu.
