BABYMETAL and Resident Evil Team Up for 30th Anniversary Merch Collection
BABYMETAL and Resident Evil are officially joining forces for a new limited-time merchandise collaboration celebrating the survival horror franchise’s 30th anniversary.
Pre-orders are now open for the BABYMETAL × Resident Evil 30th Anniversary Collaboration collection, which brings together the Japanese metal group’s theatrical, high-energy identity with one of gaming’s most recognizable horror franchises. The lineup includes five items: The Ladies Tee, The Dolls Tee, Metal Outbreak Zip-Up Hoodie, The Ladies Acrylic Stand, and The Dolls Random Acrylic Keychain. According to BABYMETAL’s official announcement, pre-orders will remain available until June 26 at 11:59 p.m. through the BABYMETAL US and UK official online stores, as well as A!SMART for Japan’s BIOHAZARD-branded version of the collection.
The pieces range from $15 to $90 in the U.S. store, with tees priced at $50, the hoodie at $90, the acrylic stand at $60, and the random acrylic keychain at $15. BABYMETAL’s official post also notes that the designs feature artwork by Hinanana, whose Capcom-related work includes commemorative art for Resident Evil’s 30th anniversary and the Street Fighter series. Press materials for the release additionally credit Capcom collaborative graphic designer GOTO as part of the collection’s visual team.
The collaboration comes during a big year for Resident Evil. Capcom dates the franchise’s 30th anniversary to March 22, 2026, marking three decades since the original game first helped define survival horror. Capcom’s latest public product data also lists the series at 201 million cumulative units sold worldwide as of March 31, 2026, keeping Resident Evil among the company’s biggest franchises.
The anniversary also follows the launch of Resident Evil Requiem, the newest mainline entry in the series. Capcom announced in March that the game, released on February 27, 2026, had surpassed 6 million units worldwide, making it the fastest Resident Evil title to reach that sales milestone.
For BABYMETAL, the collection feels like a natural crossover. The group’s horror-leaning theatricality, metal iconography, and character-driven visual world fit cleanly alongside Resident Evil’s long-running mix of monsters, survival, and gothic spectacle. For Capcom, the collaboration is another piece of a larger anniversary rollout, with more Resident Evil 30th anniversary announcements expected as the celebration continues.
Pre-orders for the BABYMETAL × Resident Evil 30th Anniversary Collaboration merchandise are available now through June 26.
