Announced during Marvel’s Armageddon panel, Maximum X-Men is a new ongoing series from writer Christopher Yost and artist Tony S. Daniel. The story picks up in the aftermath of Avengers: Armageddon, as Earth’s Mightiest Heroes attempt to regroup in a world that has turned against them and the X-Men step forward to fill the resulting void.
Naturally, that transition places the mutants in charge of confronting threats that affect the planet as a whole. For characters who have spent much of their history fighting for acceptance, becoming Earth’s primary defenders creates a particularly compelling reversal: the X-Men must now protect the same society that has repeatedly rejected them.

Instead of continuing that story directly, Dawn of Metal Scott will serve as a prequel to the upcoming Scott Pilgrim EX video game and introduce its central antagonist. The 24-page release includes a complete 16-page origin story for Metal Scott, along with additional material offering a glimpse into O’Malley’s creative process. Its concise format also promises a focused reintroduction to the visual humor and self-aware storytelling that helped define the series.

Mary Jane Watson Moves Behind the Camera
Friendly Neighborhood Mary Jane gives Mary Jane Watson a new role behind the camera. Set after the events of Mary Jane: Face It, Tiger and Queen in Black, the five-issue limited series follows MJ as she steps away from her recent life with a symbiote and launches Watson Productions. Ashley Allen will write the series, with artwork by Phil Noto.
The career move builds on Mary Jane’s history as a model and actor while giving her greater control over the stories she helps create. Establishing her own production company also provides a distinctly personal goal—one that quickly becomes entangled with superhero conflict when the Chameleon begins sabotaging the business. Apparently she will also have access to a mysterious parting gift from Venom, preserving a connection to her recent experiences without allowing them to define the direction of the series.
By bringing her entertainment career, resilience, and proximity to danger into the same story, Friendly Neighborhood Mary Jane creates space for MJ to move forward on her own terms. Peter Parker and the symbiote may remain part of her history, but Watson Productions gives her a future shaped by ambitions that belong entirely to her.

Eddie Brock and Venom Reunite in a New Ongoing Series
As Mary Jane steps away from the symbiote, Eddie Brock is moving toward a familiar connection. Marvel’s new Venom ongoing reunites Eddie with his former counterpart after several years apart, restoring one of the character’s most defining combinations under writer Charles Soule and artist Tommaso Bianchi.
Their separation gave both Eddie and Venom time to develop independently, ensuring that this new chapter carries more weight than a simple return to the status quo. The newly announced DC All In Saga: Darkseid vs. the World will explore the concealed history of Uxas, tracing his transformation into Darkseid and revealing how his pursuit of Omega Energy continues to shape the wider DC Universe.
Written by Scott Snyder and Joshua Williamson, with art from Sanford Greene and Yasmine Putri, the oversized 48-page one-shot connects two pivotal events in DC’s current publishing line. The issue serves as an epilogue to DC K.O. while laying the groundwork for 2027’s Absolute Crisis, giving its examination of Darkseid’s origins immediate consequences for what comes next.
