Marvel Exec Names She-Hulk One of Disney+’s Top Performers
Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' Head of Streaming, Television and Animation, jumped on The Escape Pod podcast this week and had some kind words for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. More specifically, he actually called it one of the studio's best-performing shows, noting that it really clicked with general audiences even when some online fans pushed back. For proud She-Hulk fans (like us), it’s just another piece of evidence that confirms the 2022 Disney+ series found its audience, even if parts of the internet tried to drown that out.
Why She-Hulk Still Feels So Rewatchable
We genuinely loved She-Hulk: Attorney at Law from the beginning, and it remains an easy show to come back to. A lot of that comes down to Tatiana Maslany, who gives Jennifer Walters a charm that makes the series feel grounded even at its most absurd. She moves easily between the pressures of Jen’s legal world and the chaos that comes with being She-Hulk, which helps the show’s comedy land without losing the character underneath it. That balance carries through the writing too, as the series leans into courtroom messiness, fourth-wall breaks, and offbeat Marvel cameos in a way that feels playful rather than overdone. Even episodes built around a terrible date or wedding-day disaster still hold up because the humor feels so specific to the show’s personality.
Winderbaum also said he would love to do more seasons, which is enough to keep hope alive for a return. Because, if anything, She-Hulk showed that Marvel TV could be playful, self-aware, and emotionally grounded at the same time. And hearing that kind of support from one of the studio’s top executives only makes the case for revisiting it even stronger.
