The New Masters of the Universe Teaser Trailer Brings He-Man Back With a Modern Punch
Amazon MGM Studios has unveiled the first teaser trailer for Masters of the Universe, bringing the iconic He-Man back to the big screen.
The teaser frames its take on the mythology through Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine), who has spent years away from Eternia. In the film’s setup, Adam was sent to Earth as a child by his mother, Queen Marlena (Charlotte Riley), growing up with flashes of a life he can’t quite explain, magic swords, distant wars, and a home that feels like a half-remembered dream. That mystery turns urgent when Adam gets pulled back toward the Power Sword and the fate he’s been dodging, a path that leads him straight into conflict with Skeletor (Jared Leto).
From there, the trailer pivots into classic franchise spectacle. It teases the scale of Eternia and its icons, including glimpses of Snake Mountain, the broader war around the Power Sword, and a lineup of familiar faces. The film also introduces Adam’s key allies, including Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan, better known as Man-at-Arms (Idris Elba), with supporting roles that include Evil-Lyn (Alison Brie), the Sorceress (Morena Baccarin), Fisto (Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson), and Roboto (voiced by Kristen Wiig).
Behind the camera, the project is directed by Travis Knight (Bumblebee), and the teaser definitely proves that the adaptation commits to a grounded “origin-to-legend” vibe while still promising the bright, muscular fantasy He-Man fans want. So, between the exciting teaser reveals and nostalgia-rich elements, it’s extremely apparent that the upcoming action film already has a lot of hype behind it.
Master of the Universe arrives in theaters on June 5, 2026.
