Yasmine Brings Filipino Martial Arts to Street Fighter 6 This August
Capcom has officially unveiled Yasmine’s full gameplay ahead of her arrival in Street Fighter 6 on August 3, 2026. As the first fighter joining the game’s Year 4 lineup, the Filipino newcomer enters the arena with an agile combat style built around Eskrima, acrobatic movement, and rapid Karambit knife attacks.
The newly released gameplay trailer also offers the clearest look yet at how Yasmine controls space and overwhelms opponents. Her swift combinations allow her to close distances, extend combos, and shift into Bayani Mode, a powered-up state that expands the possibilities available through several of her attacks. That said, here’s everything you might want to know before she joins the fight.
Yasmine Cuts a New Path Through the Roster
Yasmine learned to fight alongside her Kuya, or older brother, under the guidance of their Lolo, or grandfather. After her brother suddenly disappeared, she put down her Karambit and stepped away from combat. That changed when FooTube videos featuring a certain French supermodel inspired her to begin searching for him, carrying her family’s teachings into a new journey.
Her fighting style emphasizes speed, fluid positioning, and mix-ups. Daloy ng Tubig sends her forward with a fast knife strike that can begin or lengthen combos, while its follow-up, Alon, unleashes a series of slashes whose conclusion changes depending on the attack strength. Successful hits can place her in Bayani Mode.
Talim ng Hangin gives Yasmine a low spinning sweep that can close space or draw out an opponent’s response. Mukha ng Langit sends her into a front flip with multiple follow-up options, while Lipad ng Agila launches a flurry of airborne kicks. She can also pressure fighters from a distance using Pangil sa Likuran, a swirling projectile with variable speeds.
Her Super Arts further develop that fast, unpredictable approach. Hiwa ng Kalangitan launches opponents before driving them back into the ground and activating Bayani Mode. Nakatagong Lakas temporarily allows Yasmine to remain powered up while using special moves, including an attack that carries her past an opponent before she strikes from behind. Her Level 3 Super Art, Pamumukadkad ng Sampaguita, delivers an elaborate finishing sequence fueled by gathered energy.
Yasmine will officially be available through the Year 4 Character Pass and Year 4 Ultimate Pass. Her default appearance features Eskrima combat attire, while Outfit 2 places her in a school uniform. The alternate costume can be unlocked by maximizing her Acquisition Gauge in Avatar Arcade Mode or purchased with Fighter Coins.
Her launch will begin a Year 4 roster that also includes Arjun, Tifa from the Final Fantasy VII Remake series, and Bosch. Yasmine’s arrival will coincide with a new round of balance adjustments affecting the full Street Fighter 6 roster.
Street Fighter 6 is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
