A Campus Romance Begins

Based on D JUN’s webcomic, Here U Are follows Yang Yu, a popular and approachable university upperclassman who helps welcome new students to campus. During orientation, he meets Huan Li, a quiet and reserved freshman whose guarded personality immediately sets him apart.

What begins with a difficult first impression slowly shifts as the two spend more time together. Through misunderstandings, emotional distance, and moments of unexpected vulnerability, Yang Yu and Huan Li begin to see different sides of each other.

The original manhua ran from 2017 to 2020 and has built a strong following for its soft emotional pacing, expressive character work, and tender approach to romance. With the anime adaptation now on the way, Here U Are also joins a growing wave of webcomic and manhua titles finding new life through animation.

Cast and Creative Team Revealed

The anime will star Yuki Inoue as Yang Yu and Ryota Suzuki as Huan Li, bringing the story’s central pairing to life. Tomoe Makino is set to direct the series at Rouseact, with Aiki Kawamura handling series composition. Asami Hayakawa will serve as character designer, while Shinya Kiyozuka is composing the music.

A premiere date has not been announced yet, but the first teaser gives longtime readers proof that the adaptation is officially moving forward. And, for fans of the original series, the announcement also marks a major moment for a story that has remained deeply meaningful within the boys’ love space.

Between its compelling focus on first impressions and emotional exploration, Here U Are already looks ready to bring its campus romance to a new audience. Check out the official teaser, included below.
