Superman and Lois Drops The Trailer For Its Final Season
After learning the unfortunate news that CW’s popular DC series Superman & Lois was coming to an end, viewers began to develop rather high expectations for its fourth and final chapter. And after carefully curating footage from the upcoming season, the network has finally dropped a compelling plot-heavy teaser for the final installment of Superman & Lois, slated for this fall.
From what’s shown, the entirety of the series’ final season sets its sights on a new interpretation of the iconic "Death of Superman" storyline from the 1990s comic series, which was eventually depicted in both animated and live-action form. As a result of his emotional death that’s immediately addressed within the somber footage, the official Superman & Lois trailer further teases a dark, rage-filled storyline for both Jordan and John Kent (respectively portrayed by Alex Garfin and Michael Bishop) — promising various emotionally intense moments as a result of Superman’s untimely demise. But considering the Kent siblings are descendants of two resilient, titular DC favorites, we have faith that the series’ longstanding sense of optimism will find its spark before everything comes to an explosive conclusion.
Superman & Lois is scheduled to kick off its conclusive season on Thursday, October 17th, with a special 2-hour premiere airing from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Subsequently, the series will continue to air on Thursday nights at 8 p.m., maintaining a ten-episode format to close out CW’s groundbreaking era of superhero-centric television.
