Godzilla, Kong, and a Terrifying New Titan Collide in the Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 Trailer
Apple TV has released the official trailer for the second season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, promising larger-scale monster action in the expansive Monsterverse. And after what feels like a lengthy wait for fans, the highly anticipated follow-up is finally slated to premiere globally on February 27, 2026, with the first of 10 episodes, followed by weekly releases every Friday until May 1.
The epic new trailer opens with the iconic roars of Kong and Godzilla, immediately signaling the return of Legendary's flagship Titans at the center of the story. However, a new adversary emerges via Titan X, a colossal, bioluminescent creature rising from the depths of the ocean. Described as a living cataclysm and ancient force, Titan X appears god-like, and dwarfing even Kong and Godzilla in menace. Its undeniably massive form even breaks the surface amid chaotic storms, setting the stage for complete catastrophic destruction with each appearance.
Returning stars Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell reprise their dual roles as Army officer Lee Shaw across timelines, joined by Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett, and Anders Holm. In addition to the series’ returning ensemble, new guest stars include Takehiro Hira, Amber Midthunder, Curtiss Cook, Cliff Curtis, Dominique Tipper, and Camilo Jiménez Varón.
Produced by Legendary Television, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is overseen by showrunner Chris Black and continues to widen the MonsterVerse on the TV side, bridging the human conspiracy of Monarch with the franchise’s biggest Titans. And as of now, the second season already looks like it’s doubling down on scale, mystery, and straight-up destruction.
