M3GAN 2.0 Teaser Drops, Promising More Killer Choreography
The always entertaining M3GAN is back—and she’s better than ever.
After becoming an instant genre icon in 2023, we’re finally being treated with a brief teaser for the upcoming sequel (titled M3GAN 2.0), reigniting the internet's fascination with the uncanny android and her penchant for the theatrical. And even though the teaser is solely designed to generate excitement from fans, the brief glimpse reminds viewers of M3GAN's unique blend of technological terror and pristine performance art.

Upon release, the original M3GAN quickly became a viral sensation, thanks in part to its clever marketing campaign and the truly meme-worthy dance sequence. The film tapped into anxieties surrounding artificial intelligence and its potential impact on our lives, all wrapped up in a stylish and often darkly humorous package. M3GAN 2.0 looks set to continue this trend, promising a fresh dose of technological horror with a side of killer choreography.
While the sequel’s plot specifics are still being kept secret, we do know that the returning cast includes Allison Williams as Gemma and Violet McGraw as Cady. Gerard Johnstone, who directed the original, is back to direct M3GAN 2.0, also penning the script for the zany horror sequel. With the creative team behind the original M3GAN returning, expectations are high for a sequel that can recapture the magic—and the terror—of the first film. Though, at minimum, we know she’s going to serve.
The Blumhouse production M3GAN 2.0 is set to be released in theaters on June 27, 2025, by Universal Pictures.
