Locked: Bill Skarsgard and Anthony Hopkins Star in Tense New Thriller
The trailer for the upcoming thriller Locked has just dropped, giving audiences a glimpse into the intense cat-and-mouse game between industry icons Bill Skarsgård and Anthony Hopkins.
Skarsgård, known for his chilling portrayal of Pennywise in the It films, takes on the role of Eddie, a man who breaks into a luxury SUV, unaware that he's stepping into a deadly trap. Hopkins, the legendary actor who brought Hannibal Lecter to life, plays William, the car's owner and a self-proclaimed vigilante with a twisted sense of justice.
The trailer showcases the confined setting of the film, with Eddie trapped inside the bulletproof vehicle, desperately trying to escape. The tension is palpable as William taunts Eddie, revealing his elaborate plan to make him pay for his crime. The claustrophobic atmosphere and the psychological battle between the two characters teased in the trailer create an immediate sense of unease with plenty of potential to keep viewers on the edge of their seats for its entire runtime.
Locked is directed by David Yarovesky, who has previously worked on the dark-tinted, anti-hero flick Brightburn—and the film is written by Michael Arlen Ross, based on the 2019 Argentinian film 4x4 from Mariano Cohn and Gastón Duprat.
If you’re eager to see these two powerhouse actors share the screen in a tense new thriller, be sure to check out the upcoming Paramount Pictures film Locked when it hits theaters on March 21st, 2025.
