The trailer, which just dropped this week, offers audiences a glimpse into this latest chapter centered on new characters, with new dinosaurs, and an uncharted space where several of the most titan-esque dinosaurs reside.

Among these new characters is Zora Bennett, played by Scarlett Johansson, a covert operative teaming up with paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis, portrayed by Jonathan Bailey, and team leader Duncan Kincaid, played by Mahershala Ali. Their mission is to locate the three largest dinosaurs within these tropical sanctuaries and acquire their DNA. This genetic material is said to be crucial for developing a drug with the potential to save countless human lives.

As the team ventures into these remote areas, they encounter everything from a civilian family whose boating adventure has gone disastrously wrong—to their intended location, which now harbors mutated dinosaurs that have thrived there for decades. Fortunately, the trailer doesn’t shy away from dropping hints at the dangers lurking on the island, with a barrage of scenes depicting terrifying encounters and intense action sequences.

Due to these breathtaking Jurassic visuals and intriguing new characters, this film looks like it’s striving to become a worthy continuation of the Jurassic legacy. And fans of the franchise have every reason to be excited for this next adventure.

The Universal Pictures film Jurassic World Rebirth is slated for release on July 2, 2025.
