Captain America: Brave New World Teaser Reveals Red Hulk
Marvel Studios has recently treated fans with an exciting sneak peek into the upcoming movie, Captain America: Brave New World, through its first teaser trailer release — showcasing Marvel staple Anthony Mackie as he steps into his first cinematic quest as Captain America and embarks on a new chapter in his superhero journey.
In its first sequence shared, the trailer sets the stage with a gripping scene at the White House, where Sam Wilson encounters the newly-elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, portrayed by legendary actor Harrison Ford in his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut. President Ross, who was previously the Secretary of State responsible for apprehending Sam and his Avenger comrades during the events of Captain America: Civil War, now seeks to collaborate with Sam, envisioning Captain America as an official military position.
However, their budding partnership faces complications as Sam becomes entangled in an international incident, implicating his close friend and retired super-soldier, Isaiah Bradley, played by The Falcon and the Winter Soldier star Carl Lumbly. Sam's subsequent investigation thrusts him into a perilous pursuit, culminating in a suspenseful showdown teased with the presence of the formidable (and hype-worthy) Red Hulk. But for those who enjoy the plot-heavy MCU crossover elements — there’s even a brief glimpse at the rather large remains of the Celestial Tiamut from The Eternals. So we just know that this film has plenty of tantalizing material to pull from.
The trailer also reintroduces familiar characters like Joaquin Torres, portrayed by Danny Ramirez, who has officially assumed the mantle of Falcon, picking up Sam's legacy. Additionally, Tim Blake Nelson reprises his role as Samuel Sterns, known as The Leader, marking his comeback to the MCU since his appearance in 2008's The Incredible Hulk. Rounding out the ensemble cast is Shira Haas as Ruth Bat-Seraph, a former Black Widow turned influential U.S. government official with President Ross's confidence, in addition to Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, and Xosha Roquemore.
Captain America: Brave New World is helmed by director Julius Onah and produced by the visionary duo of Kevin Feige and Nate Moore, with the esteemed Louis D'Esposito and Charles Newirth serving as executive producers.
Marvel enthusiasts can anticipate an action-packed and suspenseful cinematic experience as Captain America: Brave New World takes flight in February 2025, promising to deliver an enthralling narrative of heroism, intrigue, and betrayal. Stay tuned for more updates as the release date approaches.
