BlumFest at NYCC Unveils New Five Nights at Freddy's 2 Cast and Poster
Blumhouse used its BlumFest session at New York Comic Con to stack the deck with news across film and games, headlined by fresh casting for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, a brand-new poster, and footage from The Black Phone 2.
On the Five Nights at Freddy’s side, Director Emma Tammi announced that Megan Fox will voice Toy Chica in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, joining creator-host Matthew “MatPat” Patrick as Toy Bonnie and returning fan favorite Kellen Goff as Toy Freddy. Tammi revealed the news onstage after surprise appearances from returning FNAF cast members Matthew Lillard and Elizabeth Lail. Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is officially hitting theaters on Friday, December 5.
Horror fans in attendance also got a closer look at The Black Phone 2, with Blumhouse debuting new footage ahead of the sequel’s release next Friday, October 17. The presentation included a Q&A with cast and creatives: Ethan Hawke, Mason Thomas, Madeleine McGraw, Miguel Mora, Demián Bichir, and author Joe Hill. Hosted by popular YouTube creators the Croes Bros, the session emphasized the sequel’s return to the sinister world that made the original a breakout.
BlumFest packed in a few extra surprises: a special message from the set of the currently filming Insidious sequel delivered by franchise mainstay Lin Shaye, and a live Q&A with Blumhouse founder and CEO Jason Blum. Fans also walked away with giveaways, including the new book Horror’s New Wave—a look back at 15 years of Blumhouse—and props from the set of FNAF 2.
The takeaway? Blumhouse isn’t slowing down.
