Fountain of Youth Cast and Official Plot Details

Starring John Krasinski and Natalie Portman as estranged siblings Luke and Charlotte Purdue, the film promises a globe-trotting quest for the mythological Fountain of Youth, blending historical intrigue with Ritchie’s signature action flair. Written by James Vanderbilt (Scream, Zodiac), this Skydance Media production also features a stacked cast including Eiza González, Domhnall Gleeson, Laz Alonso, Arian Moayed, Carmen Ejogo, and Stanley Tucci, positioning it as one of Apple’s most ambitious films yet.

The trailer, clocking in at just over two minutes, opens with a somewhat awkward reunion between Krasinski’s carefree treasure hunter Luke and Portman’s buttoned-up gallery curator Charlotte, the children of a late archaeologist. “It’s here. I can feel it,” Luke declares, setting the tone for their reluctant partnership.

The footage then teases a whirlwind adventure spanning England, Egypt, and beyond, as the siblings decode ancient clues—think dusty codices and hidden traps—to locate the fabled spring that could grant immortality. Quick cuts show them dodging explosions, outrunning shadowy pursuers, and squabbling mid-mission. Classic. And the trailer’s Indiana Jones-like energy is amplified by Ritchie’s kinetic style, with sweeping cinematography capturing exceptional Bangkok, Vienna, and Liverpool filming locations.

Produced by David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger for Skydance, alongside Ritchie and Vanderbilt’s Project X Entertainment, Fountain of Youth follows Apple’s successful film streak (The Family Plan, The Gorge). So, given the platform’s reputation for stellar originals, make sure to check out the trailer for Fountain of Youth below if you’re looking for a quirky new adventure.
