Netflix Drops the First Trailer for Squid Game Season 2
After the first season earned rave reviews from audiences and critics — Netflix has finally released the highly anticipated trailer for Squid Game Season 2, set to premiere on December 26. And this intense new trailer offers a glimpse into the intense and deadly new games that await the participants.
Three years after emerging victorious from the original game, Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae) returns with a new resolve; this time, he's determined to put an end to the deadly competition once and for all. The trailer showcases Gi-hun's struggle to succeed at the treacherous new challenges while trying to save the new participants from the same fate he once endured.
The trailer also reveals a fresh batch of contestants, each with their own unique stories and motivations, all vying for the staggering prize of 45.6 billion won. So needless to say, the stakes are higher than ever, with brutal new games designed to push the participants to their limits.
Returning cast members include Wi Ha-jun as Hwang Jun-ho, Lee Byung-hun as the enigmatic Front Man, and Gong Yoo as the Salesman. The series creator, Hwang Dong-hyuk, continues to helm the project as director, writer, and producer.
