Faces of Death Trailer Turns the Feed Into a Gruesome Horror Event
Daniel Goldhaber’s Faces of Death has released its full red band trailer, and it wastes no time establishing the premise around online violence and what’s real.
Barbie Ferreira stars as a content moderator for a major video platform, paid to sift through the uploads most people never want to know exist. And the latest footage shows her routine snapping into focus when she flags clips that look like re-enactments of murders linked to the original Faces of Death. As she follows the thread, the videos start to feel connected, with an audience watching, someone guiding the narrative, and events moving on a timeline she can’t get ahead of.
The footage also keeps circling one central question: how do you confirm what you are seeing when the internet is built on edits, performances, and misinformation. One quick moment in the trailer even lands that premise directly, with Ferreira’s character searching, “How to tell if a snuff film is real?” Around her, the investigation turns social fast, with people pulled into the orbit of the videos and their comment-section logic.
Dacre Montgomery stars alongside Ferreira with a cast that also includes Josie Totah and Aaron Holliday, with Jermaine Fowler and Charli XCX in featured roles. Goldhaber directs from a script he co-wrote with Isa Mazzei, reuniting after their earlier collaboration on the sleek horror film Cam.
Faces of Death opens exclusively in theaters on April 10, 2026, from Independent Film Company and Shudder.
