Deadpool & Wolverine Cameos We’re Hoping to See

With the highly anticipated Deadpool & Wolverine movie on the horizon, fans are currently buzzing about all of the possible character cameos and new faces that could appear in the multiversal MCU film. Since, as Marvel fans, we’re already accustomed to surprises and crossovers that keep us on the edge of our seats.

Deadpool & Wolverine: Marvel Studios

However, with a project of this caliber, we’re currently expecting the project to take it a step further than what we’ve seen thus far. With that in mind, here are some of the buzz-worthy character cameos that we hope to see in the epic Deadpool & Wolverine movie, which is sure to alter the current state of the MCU.

Loki

Kicking off the list is the typically unpredictable Loki, the reformed God of Mischief himself. And when we last checked in on Loki he had quite literally saved the entire multiverse by maintaining the integrity of every timeline that’s been created since the reformation of the TVA.

If you don’t understand any of that, you really need to watch both seasons of Loki’s acclaimed Disney+ series because the trailer alone has proven that the TVA is going to be crucial to the plot of the Fox and Marvel crossover event. But getting back to our point — a Loki cameo doesn’t have to be anything major, but it would be nice to see how the God of Stories is handling his newfound responsibility and this is oddly the best, most natural way for that to happen.

Jean Grey

The powerful telepath and telekinetic mutant Jean Grey is another character fans are genuinely hoping to see make a cameo in the upcoming movie. With her connection to Wolverine in the comics and her complex relationships with Wolverine in live-action, comics, and animation (from X-Men: The Last Stand to X-Men ‘97), Jean Grey’s appearance could add a comfortable sense of nostalgia for franchise fans and Wolverine himself — even if the iconic Famke Janssen is claiming otherwise.

While we’re always going to support Scott and Jean as a romantic pairing (sorry to the Emma Frost x Scott Summers stans), there’s no denying that these two characters are tethered in some capacity. So maybe we could go a step further and receive a heartfelt reunion for Wolverine, Jean, and Scott perhaps?

Storm

As one of the most iconic X-Men characters, Storm’s cameo in a Deadpool & Wolverine movie would undoubtedly impress with the highly-anticipated release. For starters, her fierce determination and weather-controlling abilities are always great to have on-screen, but more importantly, Storm is an irreplaceable member and leader of the team who effortlessly fits into any lineup. Especially the pre-MCU Fox universe.

There’s also the exciting possibility that Halle Berry was already rumored to be appearing in Deadpool & Wolverine based on a familiar haircut that happened during production… So at this point, there are just too many reasons to believe this is happening. Every X-Men-inspired flick needs a Storm in the mix!

Cable

With his time-traveling abilities and futuristic technology, Cable is a character whose appearance in the movie could open up a whole new realm of possibilities. And of course, he’s already shared the screen with Deadpool in the second installment of the franchise, so there’s a built-in relationship at play here.

As a grizzled warrior from the future with familial X-Men ties, Cable’s plot-heavy reveals or interactions with Deadpool and Wolverine could provide heavy comedic moments and intense action sequences that fans would love to see. When time travel and multiversal stories are on the table, (and crucial to the state of the MCU) there’s a good chance Cable will make an appearance in some capacity.

X-23

We’re very much aware that the filmmaker behind Deadpool & Wolverine has said that he has no desire to touch the events of Logan. Which we’ve also learned was in a timeline of its own (thankfully). But that doesn’t necessarily imply that a character (or a version of a character) is off-limits given its unusual storytelling format. So why not bring Dafne Keen as X-23 back into the fold?

There’s also the fact that Keen was one of the biggest assets to Logan’s story, so seeing a different Wolverine meet his protege of another timeline feels like the multiversal hijinks that the MCU would love to explore.
