The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Gets a Hefty Update for Halloween
The highly anticipated patch update for the popular asymmetrical horror game The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is set to roll out today — and this update promises to bring a host of exciting new features and improvements to the game, enhancing the overall player experience.
First and foremost, the patch includes a grapple rework, which assigns a unique grappling value to each character, determining their effectiveness in close encounters. This change aims to make combat more dynamic and strategic — with characters like Johnny, Ana, Hands, and Leland being some of the toughest in the pack. Additionally, a new map variant (Gas Station - Storm) will be introduced, offering players a fresh and thrilling environment to explore just in time for Halloween.
Players can also look forward to the new paid DLC Maria Outfit Pack I and the Hands Suspenders Outfit, adding new customization options to the game that look perfect. The update will also include the Halloween 'Rush Week' Pack, alongside cosmetics like the Towel and Laundry Day items, which are now available as paid DLC at $1.99 USD each.
The patch notes also mention several bug fixes and tuning adjustments, such as custom private match toggles for victim health and family damage, ensuring a smoother gameplay experience. Other prominent fixes include lighting patches for the menu and a retooled point system for victims’ endurance as listed here.
With this next wave of updates, the developers aim to keep the game fresh and engaging for both new and returning players. And of course, the passionate TCSM community is eagerly awaiting the release, hoping to dive into the new content and test out the revamped features.
