New Skeleton Crew Image Teases Intriguing Connections

The latest image from the upcoming Star Wars series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew has ignited fan excitement, as it hints at intriguing links to the recently released series Ahsoka. The photo, released by Empire Magazine, shows Jude Law's mysterious character examining ancient inscriptions on a cavern wall, written in the ancient Sith language, ur-Kittât.

Here’s what makes that interesting for those who need a lore refresher…

Ahsoka Revelations

Ahsoka reshaped galactic history by revealing that ancient Jedi legends were true, uncovering the pathway to Peridea, an extragalactic world believed to be the origin of an empire older than the Jedi Order. Which, was a major shift in Star Wars, setting the story outside of the iconic tentpole galaxy.

The inscriptions on Peridea, written in ur-Kittât, suggest that the Perideans were precursors to the Sith, opening doors to a rich history with plenty of potential. And yes, that’s what we’re potentially looking at in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.

Potential Plot Connections

Set in an unexplored sector of the galaxy known as Wild Space, Skeleton Crew follows a group of children who become lost and encounter Law's character, a Force user (not confirmed to be Jedi) who helps them find their way home.

The presence of ur-Kittât inscriptions in Skeleton Crew carefully implies that the series will delve deeper into the mysteries of the Sith precursors. This connection could essentially bridge Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew, expanding the Star Wars universe and offering fans fresh insights into its history.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew officially comes to Disney+ on December 3rd, 2024.
