Tate McRae Revives Y2K Tenacity with Her Latest Single, “Sports Car”

Co-written by McRae, the prolific Ryan Tedder, Grant Boutin, and powerhouse Julia Michaels, "Sports Car" is an electrifying track that blends hypnotic beats with a breathy delivery of classic Y2K pop lyrics. McRae’s third studio album, So Close to What, is set for release on February 21, 2025—and in addition to the excitement around the new music, McRae has also announced her Miss Possessive Tour. Set to kick off on March 18, 2025, at the Pepsi Center in Mexico City, the tour will take McRae across South America, Europe, the U.K., and North America, wrapping up on September 27, 2025, at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. Fans can look forward to opening acts by Zara Larsson during the U.S./Canada leg and Benee for all European/U.K. dates.
