Artist Collabs We’re Currently Manifesting

There’s something truly magical about collaborations in the music industry. Maybe it’s because we genuinely admire the notion of unity. Perhaps it’s the notion of artistic crossovers. Or maybe it’s because we crave a little timeless pop music slayage on repeat. And throughout the vast history of pop music, we’ve even seen that incomparable artistry brought to life courtesy of several iconic partnerships like Beyonce and Lady Gaga, Brandy and Monica, Doja Cat and SZA, or of course, the unforgettable powerhouse unit of Christina Aguilera, Mýa, Pink, and Missy Elliott.

But, if we’re being honest with ourselves, it’s never enough, and we’re just insatiable for more legendary collabs or illustrious link-ups. So now that we’ve managed to get that off our chest, here are a few of the biggest dream team crossovers that could absolutely dominate

Kali Uchis (Geffen) | Latto (RCA) | PinkPantheress (Elektra Records) | Lauren Jauregui (AWAL)

pinkpantheress x NewJeans

PinkPantheress instantly made her mark in 2023 with a viral Ice Spice collab (another major duo moment) and courtesy of her hyperpop, Y2K influence, she basically rebranded that particular style for artists across the board. NewJeans on the other hand happens to be a K-pop group whose youthful, soft-pop sound has dominated charts in Korea (and garnered attention in the US) but what makes this a perfect pairing is that avid listeners have already recognized their complimentary styles — so why not bring them together for what would easily be deemed as a timeless TikTok juggernaut. The internet would collectively lose their minds if this one comes to fruition.

Latto x Rihanna

Just a few months ago, American rapper Latto was asked about a dream collaborator and she divulged that (the one and only) Rihanna would be the ultimate. Thankfully, the sensational rapper has also used each track (or feature) to showcase her effortless flow and witty wordplay time and time again — so she would clearly make a great addition to any track. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. Please come back Riri! And maybe enlist Latto for a collab when you do!

Tyla x Lauren Jauregui

It’s been a game-changing year for Tyla, which initially kicked off after the blossoming singer-songwriter dropped the globally celebrated amapiano-inspired Afropop track "Water,” because it’s just that song. Having established her uniquely smooth, soulful tone — we can’t help but wonder how Tyla’s calming sound would pair with the raspy, rich textures of another adept vocalist like former Fifth Harmony icon Lauren Jauregui. And if this idea never crossed your mind, you still know it would be worthwhile. We’d even take a “Water” remix to hear Lauren’s spin on the hit single.

Kali Uchis x Lana Del Rey

Ever find yourself looking for a nice dose of enthralling, melancholy music? Then you’ve likely turned to either Kali Uchis or Lana Del Rey at one point in time. And if you don’t love at least one of their songs (if not all of their entire discography), or their patent on vintage-tinted vibey pop creations, you desperately need a playlist update. Aside from setting a high standard for the softer, introspective stylings of the mainstream music industry, the respected artists also share a lengthy friendship, so we’re going to assume it’ll work its way into the studio eventually. You know this would be like the saddest or most empowering pop track ever, and we’re here for it.

Beyonce x Lady Gaga (Again)

Ok, so we already mentioned this duo as an iconic partnership earlier, but nearly 15 years later, we’re still waiting for a follow-up to “Telephone” given its “to be continued” conclusion. And let’s not forget the dark horse gem “Video Phone” either. Since then, both artists have also consistently challenged themselves and grown into even more powerful industry Goddesses with pristine vision, so we’re willing to bet that a brand new track would go even harder. Leaving us on read for this long is just cruel!
