Wax, a Lovable Rogue

Matteo Lucido, known artistically as Wax, has built his artistic identity as a singer-songwriter capable of blending pop, rap, and urban influences.
After taking part in the TV talent show Amici 22, Wax strengthened his presence on the Italian music scene with EPs such as Wax and EXIT, as well as singles that have amassed millions of streams.
His direct and instinctive writing, combined with the evocative imagery that accompanies his music, makes him one of the most recognizable and authentic voices of the new generation, able to transform personal experiences and imagination into an emotionally shared narrative.

His latest single, “Basta che torni a casa”, has just been released. The track follows the young artist’s recent sonic explorations, already highlighted in “7 Vite”, and confirms a path of musical growth characterized by authenticity and emotional sensitivity. In his latest single, Wax speaks about authentic bonds, distances to be bridged, and that simple, universal need to rediscover emotional balance, transforming a personal feeling into a story that belongs to everyone.

The photoshoot created for Stardust Magazine presents Wax in the role of a deconstructed yet sophisticated and sensual dandy, defined by a raw aesthetic that deliberately distances itself from perfection. The mood conveys introspection, with an intimate and at times melancholic atmosphere. 
The lighting chosen for the indoor shots features warm, soft tones, suggesting everyday intimacy and an authentic, sensual, and decadent atmosphere. For the outdoor shots, a colder, twilight light with geometric framing was chosen, enhancing a sense of suspension and introspection.
This intentional dualism reflects Wax’s provocative, tormented, complex, and at times contradictory spirit.
