Mannequins

Rooted in a personal, female perspective, this series places male models in tailored suits within a surreal landscape of plastic mannequins and fragmented body parts arranged across a checkerboard floor. By drawing on the polished, composed, and nearly untouchable ways masculinity is often presented, the images examine the tension between strength and vulnerability.

The mannequins function as silent reflections, blurring the boundary between the artificial and the human while raising questions about identity, perfection, and performance. Against the cold, sculptural environment, the precision of the tailoring creates a subtle tension, presenting fashion as both armor and illusion.

Each image ultimately considers what is authentic, what is performed, and how identities are constructed for the world to see.
