Jennie Drops Her New Liberating Single, “Mantra”

Jennie, of the iconic K-pop group BLACKPINK, has officially launched a liberating new chapter of her solo career by releasing the anthemic feel-good single, "Mantra."

Jennie, "Mantra" |  Odd Atelier and Columbia Records

Conceptually, "Mantra" is a layered pop track with a disco-tinted bassline, designed to celebrate confidence and self-empowerment — offering listeners a relentlessly catchy hook, boasting, "This that pretty girl mantra, this that flaunt ya," while consistently conveying messages of self-love and independence.

Directed by Tanu Muino, the video adds a summery visual flair that matches the song's energetic vibe, featuring blonde and brunette Jennie amidst a series of costly cars, showcasing her glamorous aesthetic and down-to-earth persona.

Jennie's new solo journey began in earnest earlier this year when she signed with Columbia Records in partnership with her newly launched label, Odd Atelier. Since then, she has been making waves with her solo endeavors, including her recent collaboration with Brockhampton's Matt Champion on the track "Slow Motion.”

As Jennie continues to challenge herself creatively while exploring new creative avenues, fans can look forward to more exciting projects from this dynamic artist. Because "Mantra" is just the beginning of what promises to be an electrifying solo career for a universally known artist.
