Hilary Duff Revisits “Come Clean” With a New Re-Recorded Version
Hilary Duff is revisiting one of the defining songs of her catalog with a fresh spin. The singer has released “Come Clean (Mine),” a newly re-recorded version of her 2003 hit, giving the track a present-day update while leaning into the nostalgia that made it such a staple of the early 2000s. The new version also arrives with a built-in pop-culture tie-in, as it is set to appear in The Reunion: Laguna Beach (yes, millennials rejoice), which premieres on April 10 on The Roku Channel.
“Come Clean (Mine)” is part of Hilary Duff – (Mine), a Record Store Day 2026 exclusive set for release on April 18. The project will be pressed on silver vinyl and limited to 10,000 copies, positioning it as both a collector’s item and a clever bridge between Duff’s past and present. The release also includes updated versions of other signature tracks, including “What Dreams Are Made Of (Mine),” extending the larger re-recording concept beyond a single-song drop.
Her comeback album already gave her major momentum
The timing works in Duff’s favor because her latest full-length, luck… or something, has already turned her return into one of the more notable pop comeback stories of the year. The album debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, marking her highest chart position since 2007, while also reaching No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart. It also opened at No. 1 in Australia, underscoring how strong the response has been outside the U.S. as well.
Now, with “Come Clean (Mine)” out in the world and Hilary Duff – (Mine) arriving for Record Store Day, Duff is keeping that momentum moving while turning one of her most recognizable hits into part of a much bigger comeback run.
