Few K-pop acts have navigated reinvention with the resilience of BBGirls. Now performing as a trio comprising Minyoung, Eunji, and Yuna, the group returned on July 16 with “Body Wave,” a vibrant single that brings a welcome burst of energy to the summer pop landscape.
The track follows “Wish,” released in May 2025, and marks BBGirls’ first new music in one year and two months. It also represents the latest chapter in their career under GLG Entertainment, which the members joined in December 2024. After first finding widespread recognition as part of Brave Girls through songs such as “Rollin’” and “We Ride,” they adopted the BBGirls name in 2023 and have continued reshaping their identity through each new phase.

“Body Wave” draws its appeal from a bright fusion of tropical synths, forceful moombahton rhythms, and the members’ crisp vocals.
