A24 Releases the First Teaser for Bring Her Back
The official teaser trailer for A24's latest horror film Bring Her Back just dropped, and from the first look, it appears that things are going to get gruesome.
Directed by the Philippou brothers, known for their breakthrough supernatural hit Talk To Me, the upcoming film promises another round of chilling thrills—revolving around a brother and sister who stumble upon a sinister ritual in their new foster mother's isolated home. The trailer, drenched in haunting imagery, reveals cryptic statements like "Let me out," "Let me die," "Let her die," and "Bring her back," foreshadowing the darker themes of the movie.
Sally Hawkins, who might portray the grief-stricken foster mother in Bring Her Back, already boasts an impressive career, winning several awards for her role in the British comedy series Happy-Go-Lucky and receiving Academy Award nominations for Jasmine and The Shape of Water. Billy Barratt, the youngest International Emmy Award winner for his role in Responsible Child, joins Hawkins along with Jonah Wren Phillips from Sweet Tooth and newcomer Sora Wong.
Prior to their mainstream projects, Danny and Michael Philippou first gained fame with their YouTube horror comedies, racking up numerous streaming awards. They eventually made their directorial debut in 2022 with Talk To Me, a film about teenagers communicating with spirits via a severed hand, which became A24's highest-grossing horror movie domestically. In fact, there’s already a Talk To Me sequel in the works, so this creative duo clearly has plenty of genre contributions to come.
As anticipation builds for its theatrical release on May 30, 2025, Bring Her Back looks like it’s going to blend haunting visuals with a profound exploration of grief and family. But don’t just take our word for it—check out the first teaser trailer for Bring Her Back included below.
