Hello Games has once again pushed the boundaries of space exploration with the latest update for No Man's Sky, titled "The Cursed.”

In The Cursed expedition, players will navigate a universe that straddles the boundary between dimensions, haunted by ghostly beings and eerie voices from another reality—taking its dedicated players into a twilight realm where the very fabric of reality is at risk of collapsing.

The limited-time update removes hyperdrive technology, meaning players must use an ancient portal network to travel between star systems, requiring meticulous planning and coordination. The update also introduces the Boundary Herald Starship, a brand-new UFO-like vessel that serves as a safe haven in this haunted universe. But with all sincerity, it’s mostly an essential aspect of the expedition because it just looks badass.

Players' exosuits are also set to come equipped with an Anomaly Suppressor to maintain their grip on reality, and they must prepare otherworldly concoctions like the Elixir of Glass and Elixir of Blood to navigate the spectral anomalies scattered throughout.

Hello Games founder Sean Murray commented on the well-received update’s intentions, saying, "We wanted to create an experience that's both unsettling and thrilling, pushing players to their limits as they explore this new, eerie dimension.”

The Cursed expedition is expected to run for approximately two weeks, offering exclusive rewards such as bioluminescent pets, a Horror Exosuit customization, and more importantly, the Boundary Herald Starship.
