If the undeniable hype surrounding Marvel Rivals wasn’t enough to get you on board with the upcoming game, the recently unveiled cinematic trailer has only amplified excitement among fans of the Marvel universe.

Featuring iconic characters such as Thor, Iron Man, Black Panther, Magik, and the formidable Dr. Doom, the trailer sets the stage for an action-packed experience — teasing its own narrative that introduces Timestream Entanglement, a phenomenon known to engulf the multiverse, thus forcing heroes to tap into their full potential for an epic team-up.

Developed by NetEase in collaboration with Marvel Games, Marvel Rivals is designed as a team-based PvP shooter that encourages players to assemble a dynamic squad from the vast array of Marvel heroes and villains. As the game is released, players can expect a rollout of additional characters to enhance the already-stacked lineup of names like Scarlet Witch, Loki, and Venom to name a select few.

While the game’s launch date has yet to be revealed, Marvel Rivals did just conclude its Closed Beta (with several fun gameplay videos available online), allowing participants to experience or preview gameplay ahead of its wide release. And it looks fantastic.

Marvel Rivals is set to release on major platforms including PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (Steam).
